What is this extension for?
“Text Select” selects words separated by hyphen “-“. Just double click on any word delimited by a minus sign and all the words including dashes will be selected. Even dashes in front of words like subcommand attributes [–one-two-three] will be selected on just double click.
This extension works on Chrome and Firefox and Edge browsers. On some text editors currently maybe some limited functionality but please leave your feedback and I will fix improve it.
The extension has more functions: a “Copy” button; and a “copy a word” form a link.

Ever tried copying words separated by a hyphen like “Razzle-dazzle” or “Hanky-panky” and ended up meticulously dragging your mouse like a surgeon just to grab the whole thing? But just when you think you’ve got it, your browser decides to stop at the hyphen, so you have to start selecting the missed part all over again, turning a quick copy into a frustrating game of “catch the rest.” I’ve been there so many times!
That’s why I built “Text Select .click” – your browser’s new friend. Just double-click any hyphenated word and like magic the whole thing gets selected. Want to avoid the classic Ctrl+C finger workout? There’s a handy “copy” button for that, too. And I want to assure you my friend: your privacy is totally safe, no tracking, no peeking at your data, just simple, stress-free convenience.
It’s just me here, created this app by myself, making sure you can select text without wanting to pull your hair out. If this application “Text Select .click” has made your copy-paste life a little easier, why not toss some support my way?
